  Multiplex cinema showing mainstream films. Standard seating throughout. All tickets at time of visit were 10 dollars. Drinks and popcorn also are reasonably priced.

  Cheapest and most authentic feeling cinema I've been to. I love going there to see the big releases, great place and happy memories!

  Lovely aircon.... cinema is ok. Sound is good and the candy bar is pretty good.

  Old and quaint. A nice cinema. But be warned if you are visiting Canberra: just like with all the stupidity that goes on in Parliament House and this city in general, know that this cinema is not immune. We booked online for "Event Cinema". GPS brought us to a place called "Capitol Theatre" which was super dark outside and looked closed. We thought the GPS was broken. We asked 3 sets of locals where the event cinema was, and they all pointed us towards the Capitol Theatre. Not one of these looney tunes thought to mention that Event Cinemas was called a Capitol Theatre!!! And when we went inside all the branding was Greater Union!!!! Stupid, but hey that's Canberra.

  Awesome prices. Best local cinema for those who don't need to pay three times the price for leather recliners (Hoyts).
